CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG – (https://tinyurl.com/chittybarnes)
Barnes Musical Theatre Club will be performing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – the showcase for parents will be on Monday 8th July. (For any questions about class dates/locations or general admin, please email Catherine at email@example.com)
The Junior class and the Senior class will both be doing the same show this term – with each class doing different sections and songs from the show, and then bringing it all together for the final two classes of term.
The Juniors need to learn “Hushabye Mountain” and “Truly Scrumptious”, which they will be performing by themselves.
The Juniors will also be joining in for the Chorus of “Toot Sweets” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”
The Seniors need to learn “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, “Toot Sweets” and “Me Ol’ Bamboo” (this song will be our most choreographically challenging number).
Many students will also be performing roles as Citizens of Vulgaria – so we will be working hard on our outrageously hammy cod Austro-Hungarian accents…!

Also, if you’ve not yet seen it, you may find it useful and fun to watch the Film –
(please note, however, that the Stage Musical version differs somewhat to the Film, and our own version of it is of course far shorter too, with the script and casting tailored specifically to suit the individual students in each class)
The original 1968 film is available to watch on Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/374651
